The windows are draped in sheer fabric, allowing the sun and sea breeze to create a light and airy beachside environment. The new restaurant, Red Salt, is named for the island’s uniquely colored salt and features a menu by Executive Chef Ronnie Sanchez, previously of the three-star Michelin rated El Bulli in Spain. The Spa at Koa Kea offers focuses on natural and indigenous ingredients, such as seaweed, pineapple, Awapuhi root, Red Kauai clay, guava and coconut. Treatments can take place in any of five treatment rooms, or they can be arranged oceanside. For more information, call 877.530.5699
