Cunard Line Announces 2010-11 Itineraries

Cunard Line announced its 2010-11 trans-Atlantic and Americas itineraries for the Queen Mary 2 and the Queen Victoria. Next year also marks the launch the Queen Elizabeth, the line’s newest ship. The Queen Mary 2 will offer 21 trans-Atlantic crossings in 2010, including between New York and Southampton, Cherbourg or Hamburg. In addition, guests can combine two trans-Atlantic crossings with a Mediterranean, Northern Europe and, for the first time, a short getaway voyage in Europe. In the summer of 2010, the Queen Mary 2 will also offer five voyages to Northern Europe from Southampton and Hamburg, including maiden calls to the North Cape and Tromso in Norway. After its short getaway for the July 4 holiday, it returns to New York in fall 2010 for a season of voyages in the Americas, including two Canada and New England cruises and five Caribbean cruises departing roundtrip from New York. Fares start at $1,295 per person, double, depending on the cruise.

The Queen Victoria begins its 2010 season in Southampton for a series of voyages to Iberia, Northern Europe, the Norwegian Fjords, the Baltic and the Mediterranean, in addition to its first sailing around the British Isles. After repositioning to Venice, the ship will begin a series of open-jaw sailings to Rome or Barcelona. Many of these sailings will feature overnight stays in destinations like Venice, Istanbul and Barcelona. The ship then returns to Southampton and crosses the Atlantic to start a new Americas season in 2011. Its American journey begins with a 17-day voyage from New York to Los Angeles through the Panama Canal. From Los Angeles, it will embark on two 14-day voyages to Hawaii, including a maiden call at Nawiliwili (Kauai), and its first West Coast, four-day getaway voyage to Mexico. After another Panama Canal transit from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale, the Queen Victoria will offer an 11-day Panama Canal voyage roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale before heading back across the Atlantic on a 16-day voyage that will take in the U.S. East Coast, Lisbon and Cobh. Fares start at $995 per person, double, depending on the cruise. For more information, call 877.530.5699.
